Tukwila Community Center: Blackberry Dye Workshop

Join EarthCorps at the Tukwila Community Center for a Blackberry Dye Workshop! Find us in Classroom A!

Registration required. Please arrive no later than 2 PM to ensure you have time to finish your art.

The Basics

Registration is required. EarthCorps supplies all material, including dye, gloves, and your choice of a T-shirt, tote bag, or bandana. We will teach you everything you need to know! No experience necessary, just come ready to learn something new! Be sure to sign in at registration when you arrive.

For your safety and comfort please bring:

Blackberry dye can stain clothing. Please wear clothes that you won't cry over getting dirty.

What will volunteers be doing at the event?

Chat with restoration professionals and community members while decorating a new T-shirt, tote bag, or bandana with dye made from blackberries collected from local parks! 

Groups

All registration must be done individually for this event.

Youth Policy

Youth under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All ages welcome.

Heading SOUTH on I-5:

• Take I-5 south at Exit 156, take ramp right for Interurban Ave toward Tukwila
• Turn right onto Interurban Ave S
• Turn right at 42nd Ave S, go over the bridge
• Arrive at the Tukwila Community Center on the right. The last intersection is Interurban Ave S. If you reach S. 124th St, you've gone too far.

Heading NORTH on I-5:

• Take I-5 north and at Exit 156, take ramp right for SR-599 North toward Tukwila / W. Marginal Way
• Turn left onto Interurban Ave S
• Turn right at 42nd Ave S, go over the bridge
• Arrive at the Tukwila Community Center on the right. The last intersection is Interurban Ave S. If you reach S. 124th St, you've gone too far.
