Green Tacoma Day at Dick Gilmur Shoreline Restoration and Kayak LaunchJoin Forterra and the Port of Tacoma for Green Tacoma Day!
Please note that the event location has changed!
Forterra and the Port of Tacoma have shifted their Green Tacoma Day site from the Gog le hi te Wetlands to the Dick Gilmur Shoreline Restoration and Kayak Launch on 5002 Marine View Dr, Tacoma, WA 98422.
This is a beautiful natural shoreline restoration project along marine View drive with lovely views of downtown Tacoma and Point Defiance. Volunteers will be removing invasive weeds, planting native shrubs, and will be helping to clean up the beach. The decision was made to shift the event from Gog Le Hi Te Wetlands because of unsafe conditions due to recent encampment activity
No minimum - Youth Waivers available at registration. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tacoma’s parks and open spaces need your help! These natural resources provide people with clean air, clean water, and access to nature. Keeping them healthy is a community effort. Join hundreds of volunteers this fall as we work to keep Tacoma green and volunteer at one of ten different event sites around the city. Volunteers will pull invasive weeds, remove litter, and plant and mulch trees and shrubs.
It’s easy to volunteer!
